Leah Johnson is a dynamic young fundraiser with a passion for building lasting relationships with donors. Starting her career out of university, she has spent 8 years developing skillsets and remaining ahead of the trends in fundraising. Her focus areas are in grant writing, donor stewardship and event planning. Leah prides herself in the work she does at the Calgary Humane Society and looks forward to continuing to offer meaningful avenues for donor giving. During the evenings, Leah can be found cuddling up with her rescue pup, Finnigan.

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Maja Krol began her promising event-planning career in college, where she studied Event and Promotional Management. Her experience of working for multiple organizations in the non-profit sector has allowed her to gain insight from various industries and the opportunity to manage events ranging in size from 10-2,800 people. Ultimately following her goal to mix two of her biggest passions, events and animals, Maja began working for the Calgary Humane Society. Maja shares a home with two cats and prides herself on planning events that bring people together to make a difference
