Getting to Montreal
Montreal is a vibrant city that is accessible by air, train, bus or car.
BY AIR: Montreal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport is a central hub with direct flights from several major Canadian cities. The 747 shuttle bus service is the most cost-effective and efficient way to travel between the airport and downtown Montreal, and it runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After you collect your baggage, follow the signs for shuttle bus/navettes just outside the terminal. Travel time is 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions, and wifi service is available on most 747 buses. The shuttle fare is $10 CAD, which includes unlimited travel on all of Montreal's city buses and subway lines for 24 hours from the time of your shuttle departure. The fare card can be purchased at the airport from the automated dispensers which accept cash, debit and credit cards. If paying on-board, only coins are accepted (no bills). Taxis are also readily available outside the airport and most hotels. A trip from the airport to downtown Montreal (or vice versa) will cost a flat rate of $40.00 CAD. If you're interested in a more ecologically-friendly mode of transport from the airport to downtown, electronic taxis are also available. Note that most, but not all, taxis accept debit and credit cards in Montreal.
BY TRAIN: Montreal's central train station is located at 895 de la Gauchetiere West, in the heart of downtown. The station's hours are Monday to Sunday, 4:30am ET to 12:30am ET. Baggage depot hours vary by the day. The ticket counter is open Monday to Friday: 5:15am-7:15pm, Saturday: 5:45am-7:15pm and Sunday: 7:15am-7:15pm. Tickets may also be purchased at the station's self-service kiosks, online or by phone. E-boarding pass can be printed using the self-service kiosks inside the station. Note that the conference hotel is located directly across the street from the train station.
BY BUS: Montreal's central bus station is located at 1717 rue Berri (corner of Berri and Ontario), and it is the departure and arrival point for most inter-city buses. The bus station is conveniently connected to Montreal's subway system and is situated directly above the Berri-UQAM Station, which is a 3-level hub that connects with the Green Line, Orange Line and Yellow Line of Montreal's subway system. Above ground, there are a number of city buses that you can .
BY CAR: The hotel entrance is located at 900 de la Gauchetiere (corner Mansfield). For driving directions, please consult the Hotel Bonaventure Montreal website here.
