"This year, I cried, I laughed, I met new people and saw familiar faces. Thanks so much for your hard work in putting it all together."
– Niki Vlooswyk-Steele CMA, Controller, Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society and NAWC2018 delegate
"I can’t say enough about the professionalism of the Humane Canada conference. Right from the get-go, my days were filled with inspiring conversations with those inside and outside my field. I gained valuable information on resource development and was excited to be surrounded by positive, uplifting and progressive people who all had the attitude of “We can do that!” The team at Humane Canada always raises the bar and challenge themselves to be better as individuals and as an organization – to reach outside the comfort zone and make the participants think outside the box. This is what I find so inspiring and motivating to continue the work that Humane Canada is doing!"
– Karen McGeean, Director of Marketing and Development, Fredericton SPCA and NAWC2018 delegate
"Attending NAWC gave us the opportunity to network with other animal welfare professionals and learn from sheltering and welfare experts. We would absolutely encourage people to attend the conference. It takes organizations to the next level of development."
– Sofia Gonzalez, Adoption and Foster Coordinator, SPCA Montreal and NAWC2017 delegate
"We are proud to support the National Animal Welfare Conference because those in attendance share our unparalleled commitment to pet well-being. At Hill’s, we’re about more than just pet food. We are about connecting pets to people and the conference ensures we can help enhance the special relationship between people and their pets across Canada." -Hill's Pet Nutrition Canada, NAWC2018 Sponsor
"PetSmart Charities of Canada has been a proud sponsor of Humane Canada's National Animal Welfare Conference (NAWC) since its inception. We believe by bringing the best and brightest minds in animal welfare together, Humane Canada is ensuring the organizations in attendance at this premier conference in Canada are staying at the forefront of animal welfare issues, best practices and future directions while fostering a culture of collaboration across our industry. The conference also provides a great opportunity to meet and inform our Canadian colleagues about the mission and granting priorities of PetSmart Charities of Canada." - Dani Mailing, Regional Relationship Manager, PetSmart Charities of Canada, Presenting Sponsor since 2014
"Montreal SPCA is honoured to be the City Host Sponsor for the 2019 National Animal Welfare Conference. It’s an opportunity to put our support behind this important gathering of Canada’s animal welfare sector, which significantly advances our professionalism, knowledge and skills. 2019 marks the first time this annual conference has taken place in Québec, and the timing couldn’t be better: next year, we’ll be celebrating our organization’s 150th anniversary – and the start of the Canadian humane movement – in the company of our colleagues from coast to coast." - Élise Desaulniers, Executive Director, Montreal SPCA
